My Kinda Therapy Lyrics

I’m all alone tonight
Nobody else is here
It’s just the music
Keeping me company
It’s one of my best friends
Oh that I hold dear
It’s my, it’s just
My kind of therapy

It’s nothing but simplicity
Stripped down to the basics
Nothing but words and melody
It goes wherever I take it

It can hit me right away
When I hear it for the 1st time
Or grow on me day by day
As I discover the meaning
In the rhyme

It’s nothing but simplicity
Stripped down to the basics
Nothing but words and melody
It goes wherever I take it

I write my thoughts down
As best I can
And sing it for strangers
Who don’t know me
Hoping that somebody else
Will understand
As it comes full circle
The words and the melody

It’s nothing but simplicity
Stripped down to the basics
Nothing but words and melody
It goes wherever I take it

Story Behind This Song

This is a pretty simple song, no huge story.  It's about how music is therapy and is always there for you and doesn't judge you, kind of like a dog!  I actually prefer to sing music to strangers and people I don't know and if someone out there can completely identify with my song, it's the best feeling in the world, an automatic connection!  Sometimes all you need is a simple song, just the words and melody, and maybe a ukulele or guitar by the campfire, that's my favorite kind of jam!!
