Bitches Don’t Wait in Line Lyrics

Hanging out at a bar last night
I was bumping right into this guy
With a bunch of tattoos
All over his arm and a look in his eye
I call him Mr. Cool, uh h uh
With his blue magnetic eyes
But all he has to say for himself is
Bitches wait in line

But then I’m thinking to myself
He’s kind of a little bitch himself
And he should know that

Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
No they don’t wait
They’re never gonna wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Cuz we know what we want
And we don’t waste our time

Mr. bad ass mother fucker
That’s right, yeah
I’m talking to you
You think you keep
All the girls waiting
Acting like you’re so cool
So I get a little fixated
Yeah, when it comes to getting you
It’s just because I’m determined
But, I’m not a damn fool

So I keep, singing, to myself

Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
No they don’t wait
They’re never gonna wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Cuz we know what we want
And we don’t waste our time

You think I’m gonna wait around
Just like ha, you’re the only man
If that
But I’m not taking any sloppy seconds
See I got myself some other plans
And I’m gonna get me some juicy meat
Don’t you understand
And the line it comes to me now boy
I got my own fans

And I’m telling you now

Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
No they don’t wait
They’re never gonna wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Cuz we know what we want
And we don’t waste our time

Do you get it now
Cuz I’m over it
Yeah believe it now
You’re gonna miss the bitch

Hell, yeah yeah

Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
No they don’t wait
They’re never gonna wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait
Bitches don’t wait in line
Bitches don’t wait in line
Cuz we know what we want
And we don’t waste our time

Story Behind This Song

This song was inspired by an iTunes library name. Back in the day at the office we used to be able to see other people's iTunes playlists via shared libraries (back before all the streaming).  You have to name your library and there was this one guy who named his library a version of Wait in line bitches. I should have trusted my gut at my initial thoughts to his choice of names!  He was one of those types that was intriguing at first, when I first moved to SD, as he was all tatted up and seemed all dark & mysterious.  I only ever just wanted to be friends and hang out with him, but it was kind of cliquey at work and just became all awkward.

Anyways, this dude started being all nice and friendly to me when he knew I had a great chance of getting some Coachella tickets one year as a brand I working on was sponsoring a house party type of event with a big magazine music brand.  It would be understandable that I asked for a ticket for myself and a friend, but since he asked to see if I could get one for him, I went the extra mile and really tried to get that 3rd ticket, which I did.  In addition, they were all VIP tickets by the way!  Now granted I did not expect to hang out with the dude as he had his own group of friends he was going with, but the kicker of the deal was how he could barely talk to me for 30 seconds at this after party I ran into him at.  He later gave some lame excuse that he was just annoyed with the group he was with or something, but if I was annoyed at a group of friends, I would be excited to see another person to get me away for maybe a minute or two, or three and chat with, ask how their concert day was, etc. instead of being a completely rude, arrogant, unappreciative guy and not even able to stick around for a quick chat, especially after all the work I did to get that extra ticket.

Needless to say I wrote this little number right after that weekend.  Looking back on it, if I had a chance to spend any amount of time with him I would have realized pretty quickly he wasn't for me, a bit too much of a girl for me.  Anyway, that's all of this story, I could really write a book about guys and the lengths I try to go to in order to get any amount of time with with unappreciative guys who don't deserve my time. Like Colbie Caillat's song Try said, you shouldn't have to try so hard and that is why I have just retired from trying, and it is sooo freeing!!!
